Join us for the Robert R. Wilson Distinguished Lecture featuring Professor Elizabeth Hinton of Yale Law School. Professor Hinton's research explores the persistence of poverty, racial inequality, and urban violence in the 20th century United States. In her lecture titled "Racism, Law, and the Hidden Power of the Archive," Professor Hinton will discuss the challenges posed by the United States Supreme Court's standards established in the 1970s, and the difficultly of proving that a particular law is racially discriminatory.
